In the Dark Crystal Age of Resistance in the first 2 minutes of the series it speaks of how Augrah is drawn away by false science to allow evil (the Skeksis) to run the planet Thra and the Crystal of Truth. This is a direct hit to the false science we are all consumed under… it’s a quick jab at the fact that we pay dark priests of deception unlimited amounts of money to create cartoons and imprint false ideas about the plane we live on by floating our imaginations into spaces we can not access. We have given our trust to these dark alchemist and by doing so they feed the minds of our most vulnerable with nonsense just as Augrah was taken by. But… what remains is that the truth was in front of her all along just as it is for us in the real world but yet, the allure of the false sciences by the Skeksis kept her looking upwards instead of inwards, albeit she gave her immense power for a simple distraction, but by relinquishing her power for an illusion these snakes took complete control of Thra. Just as we continue to give our power of imagination and dreams to the dark priests of our reality, they will continue to skew and damage the truth that is right in front of us plane-ly as day but the deception has already converted billions to accepting this illusion so strongly that most will fight and defend the lie all the way to their deaths.
