This is the most annoying and clearly ignorant statement. It is the equivalent of saying that “if the Earth were round and spinning, everything would just fly off the earth.” People who believe the earth is flat believe in an enclosed flat structure keeping water and everything else contained just as people who believe the earth is round and spinning believe that gravity keeps everything contained on earth.
