The Sun Appears Smaller When Rising and Setting

I don’t know how so many people can’t even recognize the sun noticeably becoming smaller as it moves farther away, but I guess they can’t even accept that fact that it does because it does not fit with their fairytale of the sun being 93 million miles away and the earth rotating away from the sun while the sun remains stationary ^_^
