It is possible that our known Earth is but a very small section of land and there are other sections of land beyond what we know.
This could be one of the many reasons for why people are lied to about the actual shape of the earth. If everyone understood that the earth is flat, more and more people would begin to wonder what is beyond our world, and since going to areas beyond this world would be as easy as flying or walking beyond Antarctica it would become dangerously hard to prevent people from trying to explore other worlds. Ever since Admiral Byrd traveled beyond Antarctica in operation high jump and returned to tell people about new worlds, the Antarctic treaty was formed preventing anyone else from vicariously leaving. Trips to Antarctica are explicitly only showing the small section of Antarctica south of South America that protrudes north.
People who insist that we live on a spherical earth despite no evidence of our land and it’s waters curving whatsoever who know about Byrd’s expedition came up with the explanation of a hollow earth with this land on the inside of our sphere ^_^ Some people really like to distort the truth as well as physical land ^_^
